Community tournament plan

Your use of OffAngle

Registration is closed. These are proposed rules for our initial community events, not an event announcement. No dates, places, prizes or entries are being offered. Final event details and required permissions must be settled before registration opens.

01

Synthetic operations walkthrough

The session-only operations demo explores planning controls. Its selections do not create an event, establish eligibility or expand this initial event scope.

02

Free community play

The initial plan has no entry fees, buy-ins, paid eligibility, virtual currency or prize pool ($0). No wagering, betting or gambling. There are no cash or non-cash prizes promised. Any future change requires a fresh policy review and updated published rules before entries open.

03

Teams and actual participants

The proposed format is four teams, with five active players per team and registered rosters of five to seven. At least 20 distinct eligible people must actually participate. Substitutes, duplicate registrations, byes and forfeits do not make up a shortfall. A player may represent only one team in an event. If fewer than 20 eligible participants are available, postpone or cancel; do not start an undersized bracket.

04

Format and advancement

Single elimination, best-of-one: two semifinals followed by a final. Teams advance by winning directly against their assigned opponent. A completed four-team bracket has three played matches; each team normally plays at least one. Byes and forfeits are not played matches. If withdrawals prevent the participation requirement from being met, stop and reassess the event rather than presenting it as completed normally.

05

Region and eligibility

North America is the planned initial region. Before any event opens, its page must specify eligible countries, platform, server, age and any guardian requirements. Eligibility must follow the Terms of Use, applicable law and Riot rules; site signup eligibility alone does not establish tournament eligibility. A Riot API application does not itself establish a tournament license.

06

Schedule and roster changes

Publish the bracket and match schedule at least 48 hours before play, with an explicit time zone. Final rules must set check-in, roster lock and substitution deadlines, permitted substitutions, and the map/side selection procedure. For a material schedule change, notify participants and provide a revised schedule with the same notice or postpone. Do not silently alter times or opponents.

07

No-shows, disconnects and cancellations

Before registration, publish check-in and grace periods, disconnect/pause rules, restart conditions and forfeit criteria. Never count a no-show as an actual participant. Apply the same rules to every team and record the reason for any result change. When participant minimums or fair completion cannot be maintained, postpone or cancel and notify affected teams.

08

Fair play and disputes

No cheating, account sharing, impersonation, harassment or deliberate manipulation of results. Event rules must identify organizers, conflict-of-interest handling, evidence requirements, reporting channels and appeal deadlines before play. Keep dispute evidence private; do not publish allegations or personal information as a substitute for review. Support is available at the address below.

09

Player data and broadcasts

Do not use opponent-stat scouting or hidden-player analysis. Riot identity verification and publication choices remain separate from registration. Do not publish participant stats without the required opt-in. Any broadcast needs a separate plan for participant notice, privacy and Riot requirements, including chat moderation and game-content settings. No broadcast or sponsor arrangement is announced here.

10

Before we open an event

Publish the final eligibility, dates, rules, contacts and cancellation process; verify actual participation; resolve the applicable regional competition tier and permissions; review naming, logos, duration, sponsors and broadcasts against Riot’s current VALORANT tournament policies. This competition is not affiliated with or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc. or VALORANT Esports.
